Registered Specialist Prosthodontist

Michael registered as a general dentist in 2003 after graduating with honours and completed his Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics at the University of Sydney in 2010. During his specialist training he received extensive experience in aesthetic and implant dentistry, as well as conventional crown and bridge prosthodontics, with a strong interest in digital workflows. During his studies he was awarded the John H Wilson and Campbell Harry Graham Prizes in Prosthetic Dentistry.

In 2013, Michael relocated to Queensland to join Dr Bill Bruce in private practice. He is deeply committed to continuing education and regularly presents to local study groups throughout Brisbane. He has a particular passion for microscope dentistry and uses the dental microscope exclusively for all aspects of treatment since 2016.

Over the past decade, he has taught at both the University of Queensland and Griffith University and has been involved in mentoring within the Diploma in Oral Implants at the University of Sydney. He currently holds an appointment as Adjunct Associate Professor at CQU and is a past President of the Queensland branch of the Australian Prosthodontic Society. He remains an active member of the Australian Prosthodontic Society, Australian Periodontal Society,  The Academy of Australian & New Zealand Prosthodontists and the Vardiman Dental Study Clubs.

Outside of dentistry, Michael is a proud father of two daughters and enjoys cooking and acting.
